Bertha “Juke” Griffin Westmoreland, 90, of Forsyth County passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024 at Kerner Ridge Assisted Living. She was the wife of the late Lyndon Keith Westmoreland, Sr. Until the end, Bertha lived her life full of love for God and her family. She never missed an opportunity to share her love of the Lord with others.
Bertha will always be remembered for her unshakeable faith. She was also known by all as an amazing cook who poured love into every meal. Bertha was also a skilled artist and poet. Her poetry expressed her amazing faith and touched the lives of all those around her.
Bertha was the daughter of the late John Griffin and Gertie Grubbs Griffin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lyndon Westmoreland; siblings Harvey Griffin, Edna James, Barbara Idol, Ruby Redmon, Alma Apple, Mary Ruth Idol, and Jimmy Griffin; son Jerrell Blair; and granddaughter Leslie Blair.
She is survived and missed by her son Steve Blair; step-son Lyndon “Lenny” Westmoreland Jr; grandchildren Dina Manley and Travis Blair; and great grandchildren Owen Manley, Griffon Blair, and Jonas Blair.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00AM Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 3250 High Point Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
Flowers will be accepted, and those desiring may make memorial contributions to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
