Patricio "Pat" Posadas
October 23rd, 1948 - September 29th, 2024
Pat was a smart, kind, caring, spiritual, and devoted man that loved to read history and business books and watch action movies. He loved being with his family - especially taking a lap around Green Lake and smiling while his grandchildren scootered circles around him.
Patricio "Pat" Posadas, age 75, born October 23, 1948, passed away September 29, 2024. He was a husband to Paz Siapno Posadas (deceased) and father to Paolo Posadas and Jules Posadas. He was a beloved son to the late Dr. Manuel and Adelina Posadas.
Pat majored in accounting at De La Salle College in the Philippines. Post graduation, Pat entered into banking working his way up to become a Bank Branch Manager.
Pat and his family immigrated to the United States in 1989 in pursuit of the "American Dream" and wanting to provide his children access to the economic and educational opportunities available in this country. Pat's career in the United States centered on entrepreneurship where he and his wife ran a successful small business focused on import and distribution of Filipino grocery goods. Through this small-business, Pat and his wife made many life-long friendships with the Filipino-American community in the greater Seattle area.
Outside of work, Pat along with his wife were devoted Catholics. Regularly attending Sunday mass at St Marks, participating in Couples for Christ, attending catholic retreats and imparting on their two sons the foundations of our Catholic faith to guide us through the highs and lows of life.
Pat was a smart, kind, caring, spiritual, and devoted man that loved to read history and business books and watch action movies. He loved being with his family - especially taking a lap around Green Lake and smiling while his grandchildren scootered circles around him.
Pat also loved to explore new destinations and foods. After his wife's death in 2019, and in retirement, Pat moved back to the Philippines. Pat used Philippines as a jumping off point to visit several countries in Southeast Asia - Singapore, Vietnam and Japan. It was during a solo-vacation to Osaka, Japan, that Pat collapsed while on his way to the airport to fly back to Manila, Philippines. Bystanders immediately provided assistance, but his time had come - God had called for him.
Pat is survived by his two sons, two daughter-laws and 5 grandchildren that cherish all the memories they had together and support he provided. He was a beloved Dad that will be missed.
