John "Jack" Fennema
August 9th, 1938 - October 10th, 2024
John (Jack) Fennema, 86, of Tucson, AZ, went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2024. Beloved husband of Barbara, son of John and Clara (Aardsma), brother of Marian (Bob), Fran (Marv), and Dave (Connie), father of Jeff (Laura), Doug (Gaby), Shannon, Martha (Marshall), and Paige, grandfather of Scott (Kenleigh), Abby (Joe), Gabe (Rachel), Sam (Britta), Michael (Marie), Annalyse (Ramey), Lindsey, Ben, Abby, Lauren (Jake), Jacob, Makayla, and Katie. Jack attended the Roseland Christian School, Chicago Christian High School, Calvin College (B.A.) Florida Atlantic University (M. Ed), University of Georgia (Ed. D.), and Reformed Theological Seminary (M.A.). He served as a teacher, administrator, and professor in Christian schools, contributed to the establishment of Chattanooga Christian School in Tennessee, Redeemer College in Ontario Canada, and Providence Christian College in California. In retirement, as Professor Emeritus at Covenant College, he volunteered for 12 years as a teacher educator in China.
