Janet "Jan" Louise Indermill
October 23rd, 1951 - August 18th, 2024
Janet (Jan) Louise Indermill passed away at home on August 18, 2024 after courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 72.
Jan was born on October 23, 1951 in Boulder, Colorado to Burl and Mary Indermill, soon followed by younger brothers Eric, Bruce, and Don. The family relocated to Los Angeles where Jan spent much of her childhood before moving to Berkeley as a young adult, and then to San Diego where she met her future husband Russell (Wayne) Eddy, a US Forest Service coworker.
The couple married in 1987 before moving to Redding where they welcomed their son Michael (Mike). In 1991 they moved to Clackamas, Oregon where they continued their federal careers until retirement.
Jan was very involved with the Lake Oswego United Church of Christ where she found a community aligned with her firm belief in human equality.
Pets and children held a special place in Jan’s heart and she was warm and loving to all who knew her. Being a mother was one of her greatest joys in life and she was thrilled to attend Mike’s wedding and become a mother-in-law to Robin in April of this year.
Despite her multiple cancer diagnoses, Jan never faltered in being a loving wife to Wayne and mother to Mike. The countless lives she touched is evidenced by the outpouring of love and support she received up until the end.
She is survived by her son Mike; her daughter-in-law Robin, her brothers Eric, Bruce, and Don, and their partners; her stepdaughter Stacy Sherman and husband Brett. She is predeceased by her parents Burl and Mary; her husband Wayne; and her dogs Snickers and Buddy.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Lake Oswego United Church of Christ (www.loucc.org).
