Joseph "Joe" John Reynolds, Sr.
October 23rd, 1941 - September 28th, 2024
Joseph John Reynolds Sr passed away peacefully Wednesday Sept 28th 2024. Joe is preceded in death by parents Percy Reynolds and Marcella Haas Reynolds Hutchins. Brothers Robert, Raymond, Jack and Harrold Reynolds.
Joe is survived by his sister Bonita (Victor) Larson and brothers Gary (Kelly Shar) Reynolds, William (Vanessa Michaels)Reynolds. Former wife Wanda (Smith) Reynolds. Children Paul (Anne Horner) Fenwick, Pamala Oswald, Joseph John (Simmaron Sisco) Reynolds, Jr. Grandchildren Michael Wilcek, Abigail Oswald, Allison Oswald, Mason Oswald, Amanda (Aaron Sisco) Reynolds, Jason Reynolds. Great Grandchildren Kayden Reynolds and Seth Sisco.
Joe was born on Oct 23 1941 at Bethesda Hospital in St. Paul, confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Paul and Graduated from Harding High School in St. Paul. After High School Joe joined the United States Marine Corp and served during the Vietnam conflict.
Joe had many careers throughout his life. From a volunteer fireman and EMT for many years, to a radio D.J. for WIXK A.M. in New Richmond, Wi and KZCR KJ Country in Fergus Falls, Mn . He was a member of the American Legion, and the SOS Club. Both of which were very important to him. Joe was a very active member of Lakeview Lutheran Church.
Joe loved winter sports, he was a ski jumper as teenager and avid hockey player. Like his father, Joe loved racing dirt track sprint cars. He loved gardening, especially raising roses. He an avid bowler and a bowling coach for the local high school team for many years.
Joe was loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
The viewing and funeral will be held at Lakeview Lutheran church, 1194 County Rd C Maplewood, Mn. Viewing hours for Friday Oct 25th are from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday Oct 26th (10:00am). The funeral will start at 11:00 AM, with a reception following the service, in the fellowship area of the church.
Joe's favorite color was pink so the family is requesting attendees to wear something pink, if they feel so inclined, in memory of Joe. In lieu of flowers, Joe would like you to donate to Wounded Warrior Project of Tunnel to Towers.
