Malcolm Cordell Hooe, Sr.
June 14th, 1947 - October 11th, 2024
Malcolm Cordell Hooe Sr., affectionately known as Skip, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, in Tucson, AZ, at the age of 77. Born to B.J. and Mildred Hooe on June 14, 1947, in Little Rock, AK, Malcolm was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Malcolm is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn; his daughter, Brenda Stout; his sons, Malcolm Jr. and Kyle; and his cherished grandchildren, Melody and Malcolm III. His memory will forever be treasured in their hearts.
After meeting Marilyn in Gallup, NM, Malcolm fell in love and married her in 1979 where he welcomed Brenda into his life and raised her as his own. In 1980 and 1983, respectively, Malcolm and Marilyn welcomed their two sons, Malcolm Jr. and Kyle, into the world. He was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first.
Malcolm was a devoted Catholic of St. Francis De Sales and a man of unwavering faith. He deeply loved God and spent his life living by His teachings, spreading joy, and serving those in need. He was a kind and caring man who always had a listening ear for those around him.
Beyond his unwavering dedication to his family and faith, Malcolm pursued various hobbies with gusto. Whether delving into the mysteries of archaeology, cultivating the delicate art of bonsai trees, immersing himself in the world of literature, connecting with others through CB radios, or capturing memories through photography, his passions reflected his inquisitive nature and zest for life. He generously shared his enthusiasm with those around him, sparking joy and wonder in their hearts.
A celebration of Malcolm's life will be held on a date, yet to be announced, at St. Francis De Sales Church. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us as we remember his extraordinary life and the profound impact he left on our world.
