Roger Dale Owen, 74, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
A native of Burlington, NC, Roger was the husband of 55 years to Joan Stone Owen and the son of Carl Owen and Thelma Whitfield Owen, both deceased. Roger was a devoted husband, dad, and pawpaw. He was a very outgoing man who enjoyed making people laugh and never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at Twin Harbor on Lake Tillery. Roger was a proud truck driver with Keebler for thirty years.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; two daughters, Michelle Owen Rispoli, and Melisa Owen Hamm and husband, Tony; four grandchildren, MacKenzie Owen, Mason Rispoli, Logan Ferguson, and Makayla Hamm; and one sister, Majoyce Owen Perry.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Owen, and brother C.L. Owen.
A time of visitation will be held from 3:00PM to 5:00PM Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services, Kernersville, NC.
Funeral services celebrating Roger’s life will be held at 1:00PM Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel with Pastor Tommy Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro, NC.
