Clarence Wayne Brown, 92, of Colfax, NC passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.
A native of Colfax, NC, Clarence was the husband of 44 years to Mina Mae Windbigler Brown and the son of William B. Brown and Clara Marshall Brown, both deceased. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Clarence retired after many years of service from Blue Bell/VF Corporation. He enjoyed a life-time of service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his wife, Mina of the home; six children, Cheryl Stewart and husband, Mick of Tucson, AZ, Roger Brown of Orem, UT, Stephanie Hamilton and husband, Joseph of Stokesdale, NC, David Brown of Greensboro, NC, Ron Brown and wife, Diane of Lynchburg, VA, and Beth Roundy and husband, Shad of Tracy, CA; eighteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Dyanne Shular and husband, Bill, and Carol Efird and husband, Donald; and brother, Henry Brown and wife, Kay.
In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Curtis, Tula Mae Janson, and Joan Stuckey; and three brothers, Don Brown, Max Brown, and Ervin Brown.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Colfax Memorial Gardens, 8940 West Market Street, Colfax, NC 27235.
