Daniel Johnson Cisneros

Mr. Daniel Johnson Cisneros passed away peacefully at home on October 11, 2024 at the age of 90.

Daniel was born in Durango, Mexico on September 21, 1934 to Luisa Johnson and Tomas Cisneros. Marrying Maria Del Refugio on October 18, 1954 in Juarez, Mexico, they would eventually settle in Denver, Colorado to raise their family. 

With only a third-grade education, Daniel became a successful auto body craftsman and a master color specialist who was well renowned in the Denver area. He was a savvy entrepreneur who built his own auto body and paint shop. On top of running his own business, he held several patents for his various tool designs.

To his children, Daniel was a strong, independent, and proud man who worked hard to better their lives. It took courage to move to a new country with few resources and no understanding of the language, and his children are deeply grateful for the sacrifices he made. He will be missed at the family celebrations that he loved.

Daniel is preceded in death by his wife Maria and survived by his seven children: Daniel Jr., Thomas (Carmen), Jesus Javier (Stephanie), Ricardo (Angela), Gerardo (Linda), Lourdes (Michelle), and Margarita (Mike). He also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
