Springfield, OR. Linda Laurie Graham (Johns), 67, of Springfield and formerly of Sioux City, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Riverbend in Springfield. She was born November 19, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Blondina (Bowman) Johns. Being the second oldest of 6 children her nurturing spirit developed quickly as she cared for her younger siblings. She graduated from West High School with the class of 1976. Following graduation she worked at Walgreens. She then graduated from Briar Cliff College and began teaching in Salix, Iowa. After moving to Roseburg, OR with her teaching career, she became an accountant for Valley River Inn in Eugene. On May 1, 1983, she was united in marriage to Thomas Murrell Graham at the Hendricks Park in Eugene. While married to Tom, she worked for their business in SnapOn Tools. Linda will be most remembered for her giving heart, as well as her funny and teasing sense of humor. Friends and family would always enjoy her fun gift giving and joking during holidays or family get togethers. Linda loved to dance and was part of the Dominic's Club in Sioux City, Iowa where she won several dance competitions. She loved to attend cooking classes, collect books and antiques, and visit the coast. She also loved dogs, and had Shitzus for many years. Linda was admired by many and will be missed.
She was a devoted wife, step mother, step grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Tom Graham of Springfield, Oregon, step daughter Kathy Graham (Aaron) and step grandchildren Daniel and Logan Marrs, as well as siblings Byron (Lori) Johns of Gower, Missouri, Russel Johns of Keokuk, IA, Becky Mortimer (Tom Grogan) of Des Moines, IA, and Nancy (Trey) Laymon of Bella Vista, AR; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Raymond Paul Johns; and grandparents.
A service will be held Monday, October 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Springfield Memorial Gardens/ Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Woods officiating. Burial will be in the same location following services.
