Mr. Francis Marion “June” Swink, Jr., 95, of Kernersville, NC, passed away peacefully Friday, October 18, 2024.

A native of Forsyth County, NC, June was the husband of the late Mildred McCormick "Moon" Swink and the son of Francis Marion Swink, Sr. and Pearl Elizabeth Gough Swink, both deceased. June retired with 38.5 years of service from Reynolds Tobacco Company. June and Moon spent their retirement years living on the New River in Fries, VA.

Survivors include his children, Tonia Snow and husband, Joe, Terry Swink, Craig Swink and wife, Carmen, Cindy Utt Boone and husband, Kenneth, Jenny Utt Childress and husband, Kip, Tim Utt and wife, Tammie, and Mike Utt and wife, Darlene; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Peggy Swink Holt and Linda Swink Shortt; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, June was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Long; son-in-law, Steve Long; granddaughter, Michelle Boone; and two sisters, Janet Sue Swink and Wanda Edwards.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services, Kernersville, NC.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Tim Utt officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Walkertown.
