Howard P Coleman, Jr.
June 19th, 1943 - October 5th, 2024
Howard P Coleman Jr. Age 81 passed away peacefully on the 5th of October 2024 in South Carolina after moving to be closer to family. Born the 19th of June 1943 in Lexington, Ky. Howard served in the United States Navy LISN E-3 serving on the USS Mount Mckinley (AGC-7/LLC-7). Howard retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of dedicated service. Howard is preceded in death by the love of his life Connie Faye (McGuire) Coleman wife of 60 years, and his oldest son Howard P Coleman III (Howie). He is survived by his youngest son Jeffrey A. Coleman and his wife Tara L Coleman, 4 grandsons, Joshua A Coleman, Jeffrey A Coleman II, Aaron M. Coleman and Shane M. Coleman and 4 Great grand Children. Howard has 1 older sister Mary Grigsby and a brother Norman Coleman and 3 sisters in laws and a brother-in-law. If you knew Howard, you know he was crazy about his model trains and all his buddies in the Train clubs he belonged too. Howard was a very giving person. He often helped friends and family with his knowledge and life experiences. Howard loved to bowl with mom, and he bowled a perfect game (300), He was a baseball coach years ago and our basketball coach as a kid.
He will be inurned at Camp Nelson National Cemetery with his wife on November 12, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. with military honors.
Dad you will truly be missed and Thank you for always being there when your family needed.
