Larry Gordon West

Larry G. West

 It is with much sadness that the family announce the passing of Larry Gordon West, 77 of St. Petersburg, Florida, on October 11, 2024. Larry was the son of the late Herbert J. and Leatrice West, and was born on April 4, 1947 in Covington, Kentucky. Larry was pre-deceased by his wife of 32 years, Linda K. West. Larry has one sister, Tammy W. Johnson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina ( and her husband Joseph Dean Johnson ). Larry has 3 children : Juli C. Stonebraker of Conway, South Carolina and Christian M. West of Louisville, Kentucky and Rhyan C. West of Bedford Kentucky ( and his wife Stephanie West). Larry also has a step- daughter, Penny A. Booth of Deltona, Florida. Larry has 5 grandchildren: Emma Harrelson, Renee West, Lilliana West and Roman West. He also has a step- grand-daughter, Savannah Moore.

Larry was retired from the US Army as Sgt. First Class (E-7) with service of 20 plus years. Larry loved music and loved the Arts and Entertainment. He also loved to travel. Larry had a kind, gentle spirit and a witty sense of humor appreciated by all that knew him. Larry’s memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, he will be deeply missed.

 A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church in LaGrange, Kentucky. ( date and time to be determined )
