Haripersaud Mangaru
December 18th, 1940 - October 20th, 2024

Haripersaud (Chunie) Mangaru, aged 83, passed away peacefully on October 20th, 2024, at Winter Haven Hospital. Born on December 18th, 1940, in Adelphi, Canje, he was the son of Gangadai Rambiridge and Dwarka Mangaru.
For a period of 45 years, Chunie resided in Topoo, where he later moved to the United States for 38 years before his passing.
He was a graduate of Corentyne High School and dedicated his professional life to Albion Local Accounts office. In his time in America, he worked at Champion Envelope until his retirement.
In 1966, Chunie married Dropatee (Ellen) Surujnath. He had a profound passion for cattle raising and gardening.
Chunie is survived by his wife Ellen, children Vake, Karl, Frank (Darsh), Benita, and Kim. His grandchildren Tiffani, Simone, Melanie, Brandon, Chandni, Devin, Nikki, Nicholas, Kevin, Michelle, Sam, and Simon. Siblings Irene Balram and Harry Mangru.
