Maria Antonia De La Torre, 90, of Aromas, California, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2024, after a short illness. Born in Jalisco, Mexico, on November 7, 1933, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Guadalupe De La Torre.Maria is survived by her children, Son Jose (Teri) De La Torre and Daughter Frances (Jerry) Scheiber, as well as her cherished grandchild, Brian. She will also be deeply missed by her many relatives.Maria's life was filled with love, family, and hard work. She dedicated herself to raising her family while working for Green Giant/Pillsbury until her retirement. A lifelong goal, Maria proudly became a U.S. citizen.Her passions included tending to her beautiful flowers, gardening, and caring for her beloved pets. Maria was always known for her generosity and willingness to share with others.Viewing will be on November 6, 2024, from 1 PM to 5 PM, with a Rosary at 4 PM at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA. The funeral will be on November 7, 2024, 10 AM at Valley Catholic, 2401 E. Lake Ave. Watsonville CA. Burial to follow.
