He would sign every card saying he would love her forever and ever. He was a dedicated, affectionate father and loved his two children. He lit up every time he saw his daughter, Samantha, and was so proud of her accomplishments and being the wonderful mother she is. He loved his son-in-law and doing projects together. He loved his future daughter-in-law who got his humor. He did possess a great sense of humor. He had a great talent to be a good listener and make you feel good. He would do anything for anyone and often put others before himself. He worked hard his whole life to support his family. He was a talented craftsman able to build and fix anything. He loved to fix and rebuild cars. In his career, he constructed and remodeled many things like churches, houses, restaurants and commercial buildings. He worked in the entertainment industry building sets “on Broadway”as a fabricator and then went on to movie and tv sets. He would build and his son would paint. He worked on so many unique and interesting projects throughout his lifetime. He was the “go to guy” to ask any question and you would always get an answer. He loved working with his Dad when he was young. He loved working with his brother, Joe. He loved remodeling his mother’s house and building her an art room. He loved remodeling his mother-in-law’s house and his kids houses. He loved spending time with his and Linda's family and all his friends. He loved all his pets, especially his dogs.

McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury
We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
