Fred Valenzuela

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fred Valenzuela, aged 75, who left us peacefully while at home on October 17, 2024. Fred was born on June 16, 1949, in El Centro California to the late Vicente and Julia Valenzuela. He was the fourth of six children: Raymond, Manuel, Beatrice, Fred, Robert, and Rita.

Following his honorable service in the United States Army, Fred dedicated his career to driving trucks, a profession he embraced wholeheartedly. After moving with his family from California to Colorado, he started driving for Yellow Freight where he proudly worked until he retired after 42 years as a Teamster.

An eternal conversationalist, Fred had an uncanny ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He always relished the opportunity to share stories and strike up conversations with anyone he met, and his contagious enthusiasm often brightened the day of those around him. 

He was a steadfast support to his family, always encouraging his children and grandchildren to pursue their dreams while instilling in them the importance of family and always making time for a good laugh.

Fred's vibrant spirit, hearty laughter, and warm smile will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. In his memory, a celebration of life will be held on October 26, 2024, 11:00am at the Adamson Life Celebration Home in Greeley. 

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marcia; his two cherished children, Bryan and Katie (Andrew Foran); and his beloved grandsons, Brandon and Trevor. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Beatrice, and brother Raymond.

Rest in peace, Fred. Your laughter and stories will always be an essential part of our hearts.
