Dr. Bill Cochrane lived a life full of love, caring and kindness.  Born March 10, 1945 he learned to read at 4 years old and never stopped learning.  He died October 8, 2024 at the age of 79, a life that was cut short way to soon. The day of his death he was accepted into a trial drug program for investigation of a new medication for the treatment of AML, the illness that ultimately was partially responsible for his death.

Dr. Bill earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Masters degrees in Biology and Business, and Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.  He utilized the information gained in this pursuit of knowledge to educate students in high school, post-secondary school, and college as well as present information at gatherings and special events.  Blessed with an incredible memory he also gave talks on the founding of our country, the development of our freedoms in the Bill of Rights, and the history of the American West.  His students and those who attended his talks came away with an increased understanding of the diverse array of topics presented. He could stop a presentation to answer a question in a slightly different manner so that the person would understand and then continue right where he left off to finish off the cohesive lecture - all of this without a note in site.

An avid fly fisherman and outdoor enthusiast, he fished many of the famous rivers and lakes of the West. He found his creative outlet in film photography and enjoyed photographing the wildlife and scenery of Alaska and the Rocky Mountain West.

Dr. Bill leaves behind his wife, the love of his life, Carol.  His parents William and Marie preceded him in death.  He is survived by his three brothers Jim, David, and Kevin; his brothers and sisters in law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, Co on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm with the Rosary following from 7pm to 8 pm.  The Funeral Mass is on Friday, November, 8 2024 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Loveland.  Burial follows at Loveland Burial Park, Lakeside Cemetery.

Donations in honor of Bill may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to HealthWell Foundation.
