Debra Damico
July 15th, 1955 - October 16th, 2024
In Loving Memory
It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of Debra Damico who left us on October 16th, 2024 at the age of 69. The last several years have been tough for her as she was in and out of hospitals and rehabilitation centers in New Hampshire and South Carolina. She fought long and hard to have more time with her beloved family and friends, however God needed another angel to watch over her loved ones. She succumbed to her health issues on Wednesday morning, October 16th in Columbia, South Carolina.
Debra was the daughter of Peter and Dorothy Milley, born on July 15th, 1955 in Somerville, Massachusetts. She was the youngest of 3 children, and grew up with her parents and siblings in Bedford, Massachusetts. She graduated Bedford High School class of 1973. She then furthered her education and received her Associates degree. She worked as a planner in the electronics and medical fields. She had 2 children and 2 step children, her oldest son Shaun and her youngest daughter Shannon and her stepsons Daniel and Jeffrey, who she raised with her husband Dan in Milford, New Hampshire. She had 9 grandchildren whom she loved spending time with.
Debra was strong, fierce, stubborn, caring, loving and had a big and beautiful heart. She always worried about her family and friends, she NEVER forgot dates or appointments and had to be early for everything. She always loved telling stories about her life and experiences and memories to her children and grandchildren. She loved teaching them to sing, dance, laugh, and love. She was a proud mother and Nana. She had a strong Massachusetts accent and NO filter, she was NOT the one to have on speakerphone! She loved sports. Her favorite teams were Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, shopping and sewing and was a certified Choc-O-holic!! Birthday parties were always celebrated with chocolate cake ONLY! Her favorite place to be was Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine. It brought her peace being near the ocean. She loved to jump the waves and climb the rocks and shop in the stores on the beach. Most of all, she enjoyed thunderstorms on the ocean and listening to the waves rage on, Nubble Lighthouse was her absolute favorite!
She leaves behind her loving Husband, Son, Daughter, Grandchildren, Sister, Brother, Cousins and adoring friends. There is no doubt she will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
A visitation will be held at 12 pm on Friday, October 25th, 2024, followed by a Funeral Service at 1 PM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd., Lexington, South Carolina.
