Joshua Deel

Josh Deel's struggle against cancer has concluded. He has relocated to heaven. Josh is now AT HOME. IN HIS HOME. This amazing person may not have had a typical life growing up but sure made an impact on so many individuals in so many ways. His loyalty and dedication were unwavering. He generously volunteered all of his time, persisting until his work was done, and then resumed with the same enthusiasm the following day. Every day Josh was a quiet man but because of his outstanding work ethic it was obvious he was the man to do the job and was hired at the Olympia Union Gospel Mission where he was living. Despite possessing nothing he gave tirelessly and honestly. Observing his selflessness has been an awe-inspiring experience. He was a very private man and very brave. Josh was noticed because of his hard work and offered a resident position in the Camp Mercy Tiny House Program located at the Olympia Union Gospel Mission. He excelled and flourished within the program guidelines. Josh found friendships and comfort at the Gospel Mission and vocalized his discomfort in not being right there. He called it his home. He developed friendships among the individuals in support of his goals. He had reconnected after many years with his sister and 2 very close childhood friends that were very influential early on. Our deepest sympathy is for his family members. Josh, you are deeply missed by so many.
