Naoko Nastasiak
April 4th, 1936 - October 20th, 2024
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother Naoko Nastasiak, who left this earth to be in Heaven on October 20, 2024, at the age of 88 after a beautifully lived life. She was a wonderful mother who was a friend to many, she was a cherished member of the community in St. Petersburg, Florida, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, love, compassion, and strength.
She enjoyed gardening, watching The Rays play baseball, she was quite the seamstress and very creative with silk needle point. Throughout her life, Naoko crafted many Japanese dolls. She loved animals and had an adventurous spirit, traveling to many countries in her life time. But her biggest achievement was raising 5 wonderful and successful children! Her heart and spirit will shine over time through her legacy of family.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, John Nastasiak, and survived by her children John Michael Nastasiak, Joseph and the late Tina Nastasiak, William (Miriam) Nastasiak, Annie (Bill) Porter, and Thomas Nastasiak .
Grandchildren- Jason (Carly) Nastasiak, Jacob Nastasiak, Naoko “Rainey” Porter, Tyler (Jessica) Nastasiak, Nickolas Nastasiak, and Justin (Alexandra) Nastasiak.
Great-grandchildren- Brianne Nastasiak, Emma, Nastasiak, Remy Vaughn, Ivory, Vaughn, Ari Vaughn, Logan Nastasiak, along with countless friends who felt her warmth and generosity.
To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at Anderson McQueen funeral home, 2201, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33704 on 11/9/24. Family viewing is 11 AM to 12 PM, followed by Friends Viewing from 12 PM to 1 PM. A service will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM.

Naoko will be reunited with her husband, John, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Tuesday, November 12th, at 12:30pm.
