"Grief is the last act of love we give to our loved one. Where there is deep grief there is great love."

On Monday, August 5, 2024, Jose Gonzales, loving husband passed away at age 62 after a long battle with heart complications.  He was born and raised in Bernalillo to Carolyn Tenerio and Delfinio Gonzales.  He spent many years in the Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer and traveled the world.

On Christmas Day in 1995 he married the love of his life Vanessa.  They spent 32 amazing years together.  He loved sailing, fishing and camping and all things outdoors. He was a skilled botanist and enjoyed creating beautiful gardens.  He also loved to cook and knew his way around a kitchen.  He had a passion for creating wonderful recipes and spent years honing new techniques.

He built his first computer at age 14 and was a whiz around anything technical.  He enjoyed keeping up with the latest technology even as it moved at breakneck speed.  He also spent years as a technician for Cable Television Companies.

Jose was preceded in death by his son, Matthew. He is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa, daughter Adrianna; mother Carolyn; brother Eddie; sisters Barbara, Margo and Debbie and many nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
