Henrietta Tofani

Henrietta Tofani (nee DeAnne) of Washington Township, New Jersey passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. 

Legacy

Henrietta blessed so many lives with her deep faith, childlike spirit, gentle kindness and an endless supply of love. She adored her ever growing family, who were always her first priority, and she made every holiday, birthday and celebratory milestone the most special of times. A loving and compassionate wife, Mom, Mom-Mom, GG Mom-Mom, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life - reading a good magazine with a cup of coffee and biscotti, sitting outside and watching birds and planes fly by, attending Sunday services and Bible studies, upholding holiday traditions and creating new ones, cooking and baking goodies to bring loved ones together ("you have to eat," she'd say), and of course singing, dancing and laughing lots. She faced every challenge in life with grace, resilience and a divine strength that sustained her and her family. "Well done, good and faithful servant!" (Matthew 23:23).

Family

Henrietta was a devoted wife of nearly 45 wonderful years to her high school sweetheart, the late Samuel "Butch" Tofani. Loving Mom of Sam (Jackie), Trish (late Rich), AnnaMarie (Joseph), Lina (Mark), and Stephanie (Brian).  Adored Mom-Mom of Richard, Jr. (Jill), Lauren (Rob), Angela (Sean), Sammy, Gianna, Mark, Jr., and Nicole (Nick).  Treasured GG Mom-Mom of Richard III, Christian, Dylan, Aria, Jackson and Gavin. Predeceased by her parents Lena and Henry DeAnne. Dear sister of JoAnna (Sal) and the late Gene. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Farewell Tribute

Family and friends are invited to attend Henrietta's viewing on Sunday, October 27th from 1:00PM to 4:00PM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Washington Township, 573 Egg Harbor Road Sewell, NJ 08080. An additional viewing will take place on Monday, October 28th at 1:00PM to 2:00PM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00PM, at McGuinness Funeral Home. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing, New Jersey.
