Sandra Diane Funkhouser

Sandra Diane Funkhouser passed away October 19, 2024, in Pine Grove, CA at the age of 79. She was born on April 9, 1945, in Ohio to Albert and Lenora (Parker) Davis. 

Sandra is survived by her daughter Debra Plank of Pioneer, CA, son, Robert Funkhouser, Jr of Corning, CA; brother, Melvin Davis; sister, Lynn Sutton; sister-in-law, Kathi Stillman; brother-in-law, Rocky Stillman; and sister-in-law, Marci Glen, she is also survived by three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, and many friends that were like family. As well as 2 kitties, Button and Rusty. She was preceded in death by Albert James Davis, Lenora Margret Parker, Robert Leroy Funkhouser Sr, Donna Shunk, Sharon Heath, Jim Davis, Pat Ornouski, Eugene Funkhouser, and Bill Funkhouser.

Sandra grew up and attended school in Ohio where she met and married her husband, Robert Funkhouser.  They moved to Amador County with their young daughter in late 1963 and welcomed their son a few years later.  She stayed home caring for her children until they were older, then she worked as office manager for over 20 years in the chiropractic field.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.  She enjoyed every minute with her family.  She loved going on vacation with her husband, sometimes taking along other family members, either staying in their travel trailer or their time share.  Some of her favorite places she enjoyed were Depot Bay, OR, Fort Bragg and Tahoe.  She will be truly missed.

At the family’s request there will be no services.
