Delores R. M. Miller, 60, a native of Tabernacle, NJ, who battled a long hard-fought illness, closed her eyes in final rest. She was found in her bed on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 9:07am in her apartment with her loving pets.

She is preceded in death by her father, William L. Miller, her mother, Annie G. Miller, her brother, Persona C. Miller, and her two sisters, Rachel A. Chambers and Linda M. Gosnell.

She is survived by her daughter, Eleite V. Boren, her son-in-law, Oakley Boren, and her three grandsons: Noah, Mason, and Ezra Boren (of Snowflake, AZ), and her last living sister, Kelly Jennings, her brother-in-law, Lawrence G. Jennings, and nieces, Lauryn and Michelle Jennings (of GA), Arijuana Gosnell (of NC), nephew Albert and Majorie Young (of NJ), great-nephews and nieces, aunts and cousins in various parts of the U.S., and a host of friends. Additionally, she had her loving dogs, Binkey and Pudgy, and one cat, Puffy; all have been adopted to loving homes.

Delores was a homemaker, with several skills in domestication, horticulture, and a faithful mother of one. For most people, she would give the shirt off her back, and she loved her family dearly. She fought a long battle of several illnesses and died shy of receiving a kidney transplant. On the day before her passing, she communicated to her sister, Kelly, that she was checking out of the hospital because she was ready to go home - not realizing this was her final goodbye. The next morning, she transitioned to her final home in glory. She now has a permanent home that's better than anyone can imagine.

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven dear ones; oh, so happy and bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light.

All pain and grief are over, every restless tossing passed.

I am now at peace forever, safely home in Heaven at last.

There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand,

Do it now, while life remains, you shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home.

Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh the joy to see you come.

I'm okay now, the father told me he would assure that I'm with Him so don't frown.

I fought to stay on Earth, but His plan prevailed.

I'm so glad I stopped fighting because I'm at peace, way beyond the veil.

The family wishes to acknowledge, with deep appreciation, the many expressions of love, concern, and kindness shown to them during this hour of bereavement. They also want to thank all those who showed Delores the love while she resided at The Tucson House. May God Bless and Keep You!
