Josephine Marguerite Neil
October 2nd, 1933 - October 23rd, 2024
Our dear mother Josephine (Jo) Neil sadly passed away on Wednesday, October 23 at the age of 91 after a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of her church community, St. Andrew Catholic Church leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Jo was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota to Peter and Mary Engelhart. She married the love of her life and best friend Bill on July 7, 1954. They moved to Puyallup, WA and raised their four children. After her children were raised she worked for Service Steele as a bookkeeper. She was active in her church parish volunteering for many things such as the Food Bank, Grief Committee, a “Counter” for Sunday collections, insert flyers into weekly bulletin every Friday morning, and Alter Society. She adored her family and was very involved in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s lives.
Jo will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rick (Patty), Dave (Sue), Mary, Scott; grandchildren Ricky, Jessie (Nate), Shannah (Kenny Sr.), Breanna (JR), David Jr. (Cierra), Ciara (Dave), Abby (Matt); great-grandchildren Peyton, William, Riley, Ashlyn, Jordyn, Kenny Jr, Adrienne, Walker, Everly, Kennedy, Amberlynn, Magnolia, Avery, Maddox; brother Ken (Gin); step grandsons Ryan (Malia), Nick (Ashley) and Josh (Maddi) Gruenstein and numerous other family members and friends.
