Lillian Nona McCullough
February 20th, 1931 - October 22nd, 2024
Lillian Nona McCullough passed away on October 22, 2024, at the age of 93, in Eugene, Oregon. Born on February 20, 1931, Lillian dedicated her life to her family, serving as a loving homemaker and supportive member of the family. Lillian's early education began at Whitaker Elementary and concluded at Eugene High School, laying a foundation for a life enriched with learning and community involvement. Although she did not pursue higher education, her life was full of experiences that shaped her into a caring and supportive individual.Throughout her life, Lillian was known for her loving, caring, and supportive nature. Her hobbies included bowling and attending school dances in her youth. As she matured, she embraced her role as a mother, volunteering for the Girl Scouts, and developed a passion for crocheting, sewing, knitting, oil painting and golfing. Travel was also a significant part of her life, with memorable trips to Hawaii, California, and the Oregon Coast. A particularly special time was spent in Monterey, CA, while her husband was stationed at Fort Ord. In her later years she embraced being a grandma and great-grandma (G.G) She was always interested and loved hearing about her grand daughter and great grandchildren's family and their activities. Although she wasn't always able to attend she cherished every picture and phone call to be a part of the family fun. When she was younger her favorite things to do were to spend time with her mother, father, brother, sister and friends going to Big Band dances. Her favorite kind of music was from the 1930's and 40's. She loved watching old movies and simply spending time with friends and family. One of her proudest moments when was she built her first house and made it a Home for her friends and family to gather in and enjoy together. Lillian is survived by a loving family that includes her daughter Susan Myers (McCullough) and son-in-law Wayne Myers; granddaughter Angela Widener (Myers) and her husband Brian Widener; great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Tyler, and Kendal Widener; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Philip and Joyce McClure; niece Diane Hatfield; and nephew David McClure along with their spouses and children. She also leaves behind her lifelong best friend Joan Zumwalt. She was preceded in death by her husband Willis McCullough; parents Martha Todd and James Tilson; sister Luella Page; brother-in-law Russell Page; and brother James Tilson. Lillian's life will be celebrated privately, as no public services are planned. Her memory will continue to be honored through the cherished moments shared with family and friends.
