Felicia Joan Miranda
August 17th, 1965 - October 15th, 2024
Felicia Joan Miranda, aged 59, passed away on October 15, 2024, in Wheat Ridge, CO. Born on August 17, 1965 in Sterling, CO. Felicia, affectionately known as Joanie, was a silly and humorous soul cherished by all who knew her.
Joanie graduated from Arvada High School 1983 and furthered her education at Front Range Community College receiving an Associate Degree in Drafting. She worked at Rocky Mountain Bank Card, Convergint Technologies, Lutheran Medical Hospital and Walmart. She dedicated her career to volunteering at Mount St. Vincent Foster Care and the Salvation Army Children's Home, where she brought joy and comfort to many children by reading to them, hosting entertaining events, and serving Thanksgiving Dinner.
In addition to her community service, Joanie served in the Navy Reserve as a Yeoman in Administration, where her commitment and diligence were greatly valued.
Joanie's personal life was filled with love and laughter, she was a Bulldog Mom to; Molly, George, Gracie, Olive, and Pennie they were waiting for her on the other side when she passed. Although she never had children of her own, she played a significant maternal role in the lives of her nieces and nephews; Rachel, Jacob, Nicole, Jena and Aaron. She is survived by her sisters: Anna M. Strother (Phil), Lisa Baude. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald J. Gandee (2021). Her parents, Ralph A. Miranda (2017) and Irene E. Suarez-Miranda (1994).
A mass to honor Joanie's life will be held at Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church, 7555 Grant Pl, Arvada, CO. On Friday, November 15, 2024, at 11:00 am. Joanie loved the color PINK. Please wear pink in honor of her. Those who knew her will remember a life beautifully lived and a personality that could light up any room.
