Harold Clell Eledge, Sr
February 7th, 1932 - October 26th, 2024
Harold Clell Eledge, Sr., 92, of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his children on October 26, 2024.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska on February 7, 1932, he was the son of the late Wesley and Emma (Harris) Eledge. He married the love of his life, JoAnn in 1951. He and his family moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1959, where he continued his career with Metropolitan Life Insurance. He retired from the insurance industry at the age of 62.
He enjoyed spreading the word of the Lord, spending time with his family, driving his Ford Model A, watching football, collecting model cars, fishing, playing cards, making friends wherever he went, and sharing donuts and ice cream with those he loved. He will be remembered for his unconditional love, mentorship, sense of humor, and love of his family.
He is predeceased by his wife, JoAnn (Engardt) Eledge, sisters Dora (Eledge) Buechler, Mildred (Eledge) Peterson, and Clara (Eledge) Malzahn, and brothers Richard Eledge and Jack Eledge.
He is survived by two sons, one daughter, eight grandchildren, and three great grandchildren: son Harold “Hal” Eledge, Jr. and wife Victoria “Vickie” of Cheyenne, WY: grandson Joshua “Josh” Eledge of Greeley, CO, grandson Phillip “Phil” Eledge and wife Kari of Homosassa, FL, granddaughter Kaitlyn (Bragdon) Peel and husband Thomas of Aurora, CO, and granddaughter Alexis Eledge and fiancé Luis Paredes of Cheyenne, WY; daughter Nancy (Eledge) Malaczewski and husband Dale of Green Bay, WI: granddaughter Mandy (Malaczewski) Gordon of Green Bay, WI: great grandson Jackson Gordon, and grandson Neil Malaczewski and wife Tara (Greely) of Green Bay, WI: great grandson Owen Malaczewski and great granddaughter Grace Malaczewski; son Michael “Mike” Eledge and wife Dina (Robertson) of Arvada, CO: grandson Lee Eledge and wife Margarita Marquez of Westminster, CO, and grandson Adrian Eledge of Denver, CO; and companion and faithful friend Evelyn “Evie” Cullman of Arvada, CO.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 1, 2024, at Peace Lutheran Church, 5675 Field St. Arvada, CO 80002.
