It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Phillip Sosa announces his passing on October 22, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by his loved ones. John was pre-deceased by his son John Phillip Sosa, Jr. John is survived by his devoted wife, Iris Sosa, and his cherished daughters, Dorothy, Deborah, and Dona Sosa. He also leaves behind his beloved stepchildren, Jenner McDougall and Jeannette Zochniak, as well as his grandchildren: Paloma, Ashleh, Alicia, Jasmyn, Jaxon, Lazaro, Eowyn, Carmen, Joseph, Janea, and Michaela. He is also survived by his brother, Luis Sosa, and sister, Teresa Sosa.
A memorial mass will take place on November 30, 2024 at 10:30am. Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Rio Rancho. Reception to follow in the church hall.
