Thomas Joseph Kavaney

Thomas Joseph Kavaney of Tucson, AZ, passed away on October 25, 2024. He was born on September 5, 1947, in Kankakee, IL, to the late Myrna and George Kavaney. His sisters, Nancy Benson and Linda Poehler, preceded him in death. Tom is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Judith Kavaney, who has been married for 48 years. His children survive him: Kim Ottum (Bob), Michelle Eppelsheimer (Carl Smith), and Thomas Eppelsheimer, as well as 6 Grandkids and 7 Great-Grandchildren. His brothers, Dan Kavaney (Betty) and Chuck Kavaney (Lore), also survive him. He was employed by Learjet/Bombardier for 30 years in Tucson, AZ. His hobbies included cooking, photography, motorcycling, camping, firearms, golfing, and playing Euchre; plus, he was a great master of trivia. His love for his wife and family was evident in everything he did. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and, especially, his family. Contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his name.
