Sis. Amber Pittman (Begley)

Sis. Amber was born January 5th, 1947, to Paul and Vivian Begley in Olympia Washington. Sis. Amber grew up in a divided, tumultuous house. Her mother, Vivian, sister, Susan, and her had an easy financial life, but a very scary and abusive home life. Fast forward to teenage years, Amber met the love of her life, Fred Pittman. They married on June 12, 1965, and had many adventures together. In 1971, their son, Tim Pittman was born, inspiring Fred to go back to church and take Amber with him.

On September 5, 1976, Fred gave his hand to Bro. Dow Overacker. On March 15, 1977, Fred and Amber had a daughter, Jalaine Pittman (Smith). On October 17, 1979, Amber gave her hand to Bro. Kenneth Stevens. Their house changed! Amber and Fred went through a big trial of faith concerning their son, Tim, in 1978 and God seen them through it. Late in 1979 they started feeling to move to Tulare, Ca. They moved there in 1980. This is where in years to come, Bro. Fred grew in the ministry and Sis. Amber received the gift of prophecy. There was a great division in the church in that part and a falling away of Brethren. With the exception of two moves for work in 1981 and 1982 to New Mexico, They stayed in Tulare until Sept 1991, when they moved to Creswell, OR. Many of the brethren here were lifelong friends and relatives.

Bro. Fred and Sis. Amber moved many times, to list- Prosser back to Olympia, Sacramento, CA, and eventually ending up back here.

Sis. Amber, and Bro. Fred, loved God, the Faith and the brethren. Amber was a proud grandma & Nana who loved to see her grandkids and great grandkids grow.

Sis. Amber left behind son- Tim Pittman & wife Marcy Pittman (New Mexico) their children- Erika & Nathan Porter (Oregon), Craig & Kearstin Pittman (New Mexico), and Bailey & Jessica Pittman (Oklahoma).

Daughter Jalaine & husband Richard Smith with their children, Courtney Smith, and Sheridan & Joe Porter (Oregon). Five greatgrandchildren- Nora and JoJo Porter, Hallie Ray Pittman, Callie & Kaycie Pittman.

A sister to Amber- Susan Woffard. A half-brother- Mike Martens. A brother-in-law- Duane Pittman. Sister and brother-in-law Vonda & Del Zysett. And a whole host of Brethren.

Sis. Amber had a strong belief in the Truth and that, like the Lord, we are “made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.” (Heb. 7:16) if we would live the Faith. She often said she welcomed the Lord to come get her.
