Charles Eugene Bailey of Port Charlotte Florida, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2024. Born in Lawrenceburg, TN, grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte area in 1980 where he lived the rest of his years. Charles loved his family with all his heart and was a friend to everyone he met. He was known for anything automotive, his annual pizza parties and helping anyone in need. Viewing will be held Thursday Nov 7th at Charlotte Memorial Funeral home 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (family), 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. (Family and Friends). Memorial service will be held from 1:00 p.m.to  2:00 p.m. Procession and burial will immediately follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. Fellowship will follow at 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Thelma Bailey, and his oldest brother Thomas Franklin Bailey Jr. 

Survivors are his wife of 34 years Marianne Lilly, siblings, Marie (Crapsey) Bailey, Pam Pyles (Bailey), Terry Bailey (Debi). His Sons Jeffery, Rodney and Bryan Bailey, Michael Lilly. His daughter Tammy Vaughn (Charles). His grandchildren Zachary Kramer, Jeffrey Bailey Jr, Nicholas Bailey (Morgan), Kenneth Bennett , Lucas Bailey, Bryanna Bailey, Kayley Vaughn, Cassidy Vaughn. His great grandchildren, Ivy Lucy and Benjamin Bailey.
