Judith Gayle Gerken

Judy passed away peacefully in her sleep early on Sunday October 27 after a long illness. Judy was born on July 23, 1942, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. To Bernice (Ainsworth) and John Hacker. She married Richard Williams and together they had a daughter, Leanne “Annie” (Williams) in August of 1962. Although that marriage did not work out as planned. Judy met and married Gerald “Jerry” Gerken, in October of 1966. In 1967, Edward John and Michelle Beth were born on October 5.

Judy had 3 grandchildren, John Hacker Ranum, (Bruce and Annie Ranum), Jeffrey Thomas and Andrew J Boxler, (Kyle and Chelle Boxler.) Judy also enjoyed being a great grandmother to Jack Thomas (John and Jessie Ranum) and Leni J Boxletti (Jeff Boxler and Kami Nicoletti). Judy was preceded in death by her father John Hacker (March 1972,) Her mother Bernice Ainsworth (February 2005,) Husband Jerry(June 2006) and most recently, her youngest daughter, Chelle Boxler ( September 11, 2024)

She was loved by her many friends over the years as well as her family. Her smile and friendly ways will be truly missed.

Judy loved the Denver Broncos and NASCAR

Judy volunteered as club secretary for the Jefco Aeromod’lers R/C Club for well over 20 years. Judy’s greatest love was her fur-babies. There were many over the years and the rainbow bridge was a busy place that day. Please tell your dog “Hi” from Judy.
