Marianne L. Bellows, 87, of Broadalbin, NY, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at her home surrounded by her beloved family.
Marianne was born on February 28, 1937, in Budingen, Germany to the late Karl and Lena Hugel. She immigrated to the United States in 1958 and resided in Louisiana, where she became a homemaker to care for her growing family. She moved to New York in the early 1960’s and began working as a caregiver for Liberty ARC in Amsterdam.
She loved crafting, with felting and sewing being her two favorite hobbies. She also enjoyed going antiquing.
Marianne was predeceased by her parents and five siblings.
She is survived by her children Cliff (Bobbie Jo) Bellows Jr, Bill (Karen) Bellows, and Leah (Carl) Bellows; grandchildren Billy Bellows Jr, Ryan Bellows, Dustin Bellows, and Raven Bellows; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marianne’s arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to James A. Brennan Memorial Humane Society, 437 Nine Mile Tree Rd, Gloversville, NY 12078 or online Donate.
