Allen Lawrence Thompson, 88, passed away peacefully into God’s Hands on October 21, 2024 in Chico, CA.

 He was born December 28, 1935 in Rochester, MN. He was born to his loving father and mother Alfred and Laura Thompson of Stewartville, MN. 

Allen married Jeannette Dressel on November 17, 1957 they moved to California in 1966, He was an avid hunter and fisherman. 

He enjoyed reminiscing about his many hunting stories. He worked as a salesman and was a property owner. 

He was proceeded in death by his wife Jeannette of 55 years. Allen leaves behind four children: Barbara (Dennis), Allen Jr. (Dolly), Paul (Kathryn) and Todd (Christine). 

He has nine grandchildren: Michael, Teal, James, Matthew, Benjamin, Dennis, Cayla, Amanda and Sara as well as six great grandchildren. 

Allen loved the outdoors and spending time with the ones he loved. He was an active member at Redeemer Lutheran Church for over 50 years. 

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 9:00 AM. at Redeemer Lutheran Church arrangements are under the direction of Brusie Funeral Home.
