Bertha Lee Westberry

Bertha L. Westberry was born and raised in Manatee County, Florida. She spent her life loving God, her family, and the many children she cared for throughout the years.  “Wessy” as the children called her, was loved by all who knew her.  She had a sweet spirit and generous nature. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and cooking. Bertha was a long-time member of Palm View Baptist Church in Palmetto, serving as a Sunday School teacher and working in the nursery for nearly 40 years.

Bertha was pre-deceased by her husband, Artise W. Westberry and son-in-law Giles Bell.  She is survived by her children: daughters, Margie Kightlinger (Gary); Jennifer Bell; and son Gerald W. Westberry (Jeffi Lynn); grandchildren, Stephen Kightlinger and Alison Westberry, and niece Cindy Kartanowicz (Loy)and family.
