Ardis Elladee Harris

Ardis E. Harris, age 80, of Junction City, Oregon, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2024, after a courageous battle with dementia. Born on February 19, 1944, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, Ardis brought joy, strength, and kindness to all who knew her.

In 1971, she married Kenneth Harris in Cheshire, Oregon. Together, they shared a life filled with love, companionship, and family until Kenneth’s passing. Ardis dedicated many years as a librarian and later as an administrator for the City of Eugene Fire Department, where her dedication and commitment were an inspiration to colleagues and friends alike.

A passionate gardener, Ardis was a Master Gardener who proudly completed the Oregon State University Hope Master Gardening program in 2014. She found immense joy in tending to her garden, bringing life to countless plants and flowers. Ardis also loved crafting, which brought out her creativity, and cherished every moment spent with her two beloved granddaughters. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was an active member of her church community.

Ardis is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Skye Lawson; her sister, Aneta Comstock; and her granddaughters, Natalie Lawson and Kelsey Lawson. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, faith, and love that will be forever cherished.

A memorial service to celebrate Ardis’s life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints in Junction City, Oregon. Arrangements are under the care of Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home
