Scott Michael Hayes, 59, of Johnstown, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

 

Scott was born on February 1, 1965, in Gloversville, NY to Barbara (Hands) and James Hayes. His family moved to different areas during his childhood, and he obtained his GED from Amos P. Godby High School in Tallahassee, Florida. Afterwards, he began working in construction down in Florida. Once he moved back to New York, he was employed through Lexington from 1990 to 2003. His most recent employment was through Livingston’s Furniture in Gloversville, where he worked as a salesman until 2022.

 

He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing poker with his friends, watching football and cheering on his favorite team the Minnesota Vikings, and having nerf gun wars with his grandson. 

 

He was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

 

Scott is survived by his three daughters Ashley (Brad) Ambrosino, Abby Hayes, and Marissa Hayes; parents Barbara and James Hayes; sister Susan (Gary) Hayes-Manning; grandson Gage Ambrosino; godson Jaxson Manning; mother of his children Deanna Capparello; as well as several aunts, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

 

Family and friends are invited to Scott’s celebration of life on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 2pm to 6pm at the Concordia Club, 138 Concordia Club Rd, Gloversville, NY 12078.
