Belchertown – Charlotte M. Russell, age 48, of Munsell Street, passed away peacefully of natural causes on November 6, 2024. Born on May 12, 1976, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, she was the cherished daughter of Leonard and Diane (LaPointe) Russell. Raised in Belchertown, Charlotte graduated from Belchertown High School and went on to dedicate her life to helping others as a Direct Care Worker with the Department of Developmental Services for over a decade. Her compassion and kindness were felt deeply by those in her care and the many lives she touched during her years of service.Charlotte was known for her warm, loving spirit and her ability to make others feel at ease. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Chelsea and Jesse Russell, whose lives she filled with love and laughter. Despite the challenges she faced following a brain aneurysm at age 28, Charlotte’s resilience and courage were unwavering. Surrounded by family and friends, she spent her remaining years sharing her kind heart and bright spirit, leaving memories of joy and fun that her loved ones will always carry with them.She is survived by her siblings Lenny, Jeannette, Kelly, and Patrick Russell, along with her beloved sister-in-laws Kimberly Russell, Suzanne Larro, and Elizabeth Santor. She was predeceased by her treasured older brother, Robert Russell, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms. Charlotte’s kindness and love also touched the lives of her extended family, including her aunts, uncles, twelve nieces and nephews, one great-nephew, and countless friends.“Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they showed, the comfort they shared, and the love they brought into our lives.”A Memorial Service to celebrate Charlotte’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Christ Community Church in Belchertown.May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace, forever in the hearts of all who loved her.
