Janet M. Malcolm
March 25th, 1925 - October 31st, 2024
Janet A. May was born in New York City in 1925. She was raised there and married John Malcolm in 1946. She earned her a doctorate in Physical Chemistry from Columbia University in 1951. Janet had three children, Martha, Frieda, and David. The family lived, among other places, in El Salvador and India. An avid adventurer, she completed the Appalachian Trail with John’s help and companionship. She had a lifelong love of singing.
Janet Malcolm lived a full life with a global perspective, tackling multiple issues with energy and purpose. She challenged the Church to do better, investing strength and faith especially in Iglesia de Santa Maria. She died at 99 in Northern Virginia on October 31st.
She will be missed by many. May her memory be a blessing to all.
