He was known for telling a good joke and loved a good pun.

Jim enjoyed various hobbies including tennis, bowling, fishing, watching the UW Badger and Green Bay Packer football games, and of course his trips to casinos. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Phi Chi Epsilon Fraternity.

He is survived by his loving wife Marlene of 64 years, his children: Maria, Vincent (Melissa Gerber), and Mark (Stacie), and many nieces and nephews who will forever cherish his memory. Jim's legacy of love, laughter, and learning will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and sister Kathryn.

Nitardy Funeral Homes - Whitewater

We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community since 1932, when our founder Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. We feel very fortunate to continue serving the community three generations later. In 2007, we constructed our first funeral home in Whitewater. Here, our mission is the same as it has been for over 90 years: help walk our community through times of grief and provide beautiful and meaningful services to every family that walks through our doors. We are proud that Whitewater families trust us to take care of their loved ones....
