Mementos

Mara Francis Rose of Slade, KY passed away on November 9, 2024 in Lexington, Kentucky surrounded lovingly by her family.  She was born on January 5, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Margaret Franklin (Horcek) Byers and Ralph Allen Byers. 

 

Mara is survived by her loving husband of 46 wonderful years, Stephen David Rose, son Justin David Rose, son James Adam Rose (Ginnie) and daughter Brittany Rose Cox (Tom).  She leaves behind her sister Sharon Jean (the late Marvin Taylor), brother Jeffrey Alan (Anita Byers), and brother Keith Michael along with many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.   She will forever be missed by her grandchildren who held a mutual affection toward her, Presley Rose Cox, Andrew Weldon Rose & Emma Anderson Cox. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret & Ralph, brother Scott David, and sister Melissa Jo.  She will be fondly remembered for her devotion to her family and those she loved the most.

 

A gathering of family and friends will be 2pm-4pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024 followed by a celebration of life service at 4pm at the Clark Legacy Center located at 601 E Brannon Road in Nicholasville, Kentucky.  In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Special Olympics of Kentucky.
