Delbert "Beezer" Cruise
March 8th, 1945 - November 6th, 2024
Delbert “Beezer” Cruise passed away at home Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 at the age of 79. Beezer was born in Loveland, Colorado to Etta and Delbert Cruise On March 8th, 1945. He was the 5th of 6 children.
Beezer Graduated from Loveland High School in 1964. He kept many friendships from high school and throughout his life. His laughter was contagious and he always had a smile on his face! Beezer was such a free-spirit – nothing stopped him! From Hitch hiking to Canada to see Janis Joplin with his buddies to road trips across many states in his 1934 Plymouth with his wife Wanda and the Road Knight Car Club in which he was a member of for over 20 years. Beezer was quit the fisherman, He fished everywhere from Canada to Mexico. If there was water, a boat, a fishing pole and a cooler with Bud light, Beez was in! His favorite trips though, where always with his wife Wanda! They truly where inseparable! He loved his Friday night “F.A.C.” get togethers and would never miss a camping trip with his wife, kids, grandkids and friends! Beezer Spent 30 years as a welder and sheet metal fabricator at Hach Company. He retired in 2007.
Beezer leaves behind his Wife and best friend of 44 years, Wanda. His children Shawna (John) Smedley, Travis Cruise, Step-Children: Steve (Jen) Schaeffer, Wendy (Jason) Gonzalez. Grandchildren: Ezra Cruise, Isiah Torres, Braylea Smedley, Shelbi & Rylynn Schaeffer, Nick (Jess) Riley, Cooper & Alex Riley, Madison, Kendall & Shelby Gonzalez. Brother Jack Cruise, Sister’s Judy Cruise & Linda (Bill) Moore, Brother-In-Law R.K. Lafferty, and a host of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Etta Cruise, Father Delbert Cruise, Sister Pat Lafferty, Brother Terry Cruise and Sister-In-Law Kay Cruise.
Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 18th at 1:00pm at 1st Christian Church in Loveland, with a light reception following the service.
