Jeremy Nathaniel Latta

t is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jeremy Nathaniel Latta on November 4, 2024 at the age of 37. His life began in Mills River, North Carolina He has lived in Charleston, South Carolina most of his adult life. Jeremy left this world far too soon leaving behind a legacy of kindness, ingenuity, and passion. Jeremy was a fun loving, generous young man. He had an awesome sense of humor. Jeremy was owner/partner of Red Palm Tavern in Charleston, SC. 

He was preceded in death by his father Rodney William Latta and grandparents, Billy Wiley Latta and Nancy Ruth Hopkins Latta and grandmother Joyce Trull Kaufman and Aunt, Brenda Latta Brock. 

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Joyce (Joy) Kaufman Latta, his grandfather, Jack Kaufman, his Aunts, Jacqueline Kaufman Edwards (Larry), Debra Latta Davidson (Mike) and his Uncles, Larry Kaufman (Doris), Michael Kaufman (Dawn), he also left behind cousins and his beloved dog, Huckleberry (Huck). He also leaves behind many beloved family and friends. Jeremy lived his life with passion, kindness, and an unwavering spirit of adventure. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering is being held at Folly Beach, South Carolina on Sunday at 12 noon. A Memorial Service will be held at Biltmore Church of God on Saturday, November 16th with visitation from 1 to 1:30 pm and service at 1:30 pm

In lieu of flowers, Jeremy would have wished that donations be made in honor of his Aunt Jackie Edwards  to The ALS Association, North Carolina Chapter, 4 Blount Street, Suite 200, Raleigh, NC. 27601
