Angelo D. Curty (or as he used to like to say "Angel with a halo at the end") was born on August 7th, 1931 and passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2024 of natural causes.

To all who knew him, he'll be remembered for his laughter, constantly telling jokes, perfecting the "finger removal" along with the great story that accompanied it, his jumping toothpick trick, and especially his love of dancing.  That particular love led him to working as a dance host on numerous cruise ships when he retired, and he spent many years getting to do what he loved best.  Dancing and eating!  His experiences were so fantastic that he ended up writing a book about them called "I Danced Around the World".  He always said he never imagined he'd be able to see and do all the things he was able to later in life and credited dancing for making it possible.

Angelo graduated from the University of WI Madison with an art degree, while also serving in the Air Force and maintained that in the reserves for 20 years.  After graduation he had numerous jobs but spent a large portion of his life working at Gimbles department store as a graphic artist in advertising for the newspaper.  After they closed, he dabbled in real estate and he worked at Landmark Luggage in the mall which he always enjoyed because he was such a social butterfly and got to people watch and chat with hundreds of people a day. He also had a gift and prided himself on being able to get into places that most people aren't allowed.  And no one ever questioned him.  He was the original wedding crasher.  He also was an avid gambler and made many, many trips to Las Vegas and enjoying his poker clubs he belonged to. He always kept his "envelopes" to save money just for those purposes.

Angelo was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Dick, Dominic, and Larry.  Being blessed with such a long life many friends, relatives, nieces and nephews, his first wife Angie, and others also were lost.  He is survived by his ex wife Kay Ann, children Shane, Shannon, Tania, and Angelise and their significant others,  grandchildren Tyler, Keegan, Morgan, Rachel, Ryan, Anne, Bella, and Tanner, great grandson Asher, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The visitation would be held on Friday November 15, 2024 from 10:30 a.m. until the start of services at 11:00 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church 440 W Moreland Blvd Waukesha WI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Stars and Stripes Honor Flight Wisconsin PO Box 867, Menomonee Falls, WI 53052.
