Liam Wallace Sehorn born in Chico March 2nd 2003 met his Heavenly Father on October 24, 2024. He was a Junior at Cal State University, Chico, majoring in Mechatronics Engineering. Liam attended Durham and Little Chico Creek Elementary Schools and Hank Marsh Junior High School. A 2021 graduate of Chico High School, Liam was an outstanding student and a three sport athlete, lettering in wrestling, cross country, and track and field. As a junior, he was a member of the NSCIF cross country champion panther team that competed in the CIF state championship meet. He was part of three Chico High Wrestling section champion teams and missed qualifying for state by one match his junior year. While a student at Butte Community College he participated in cross country and track & field. He was the Golden Valley Conference champion in the 4 mile as a freshman. Liam will be remembered for his gentle soul, being kind, forgiving, funny, and so very artistic. He had very high social awareness. He was loving, honest, hard-working, and had a huge heart. He loved his family and many friends. He loved animals and especially his cat Soot. He held high expectations for himself, always giving his best. During his college years he enjoyed playing spike ball with his friends, listening to music, dancing, going to concerts, traveling and playing his ukulele. He loved the outdoors, hiking, biking, going on walks and having deep discussions about life. Wherever Liam was he brought happiness and laughter. He was highly respected by his professors, teachers, coaches, & friends, and will be deeply missed by those who knew him. Liam taught us all so many things about life, he will be deeply missed by all of us. He touched so many of our lives; we are so very blessed to have been part of this amazing young man’s life. His kindness will always live in our hearts. Our beloved Liam leaves his father and mother, Richard and Beatriz Sehorn, sister Alex, and brother Tyler of Chico. His grandmother Luisa Durban of Spain and his grandfather Ray Sehorn also survive. Other survivors include his aunt Jillian of Washington, aunts Aurora, Maria Rosa, Maria Jose, and many cousins in Spain. Liam and his family graciously thank you for taking the time to read about his life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Butte Humane Society reflecting Liam’s lifelong love of animals. A Funeral Mass will be held for Liam on Tuesday November 19, 2024, 10 AM at Saint John’s the Baptist Catholic Church on Chestnut Street in Chico. The public is invited.
