Sonia Day, 84, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024. She was born February 19, 1940, in Wolverhampton, England to the late Herbert "Bert" Toop and Marjorie Griffiths Toop. In addition to her parents, Sonia is preceded in death by her brothers Anthony Toop and Stuart Toop.

Mrs. Day is survived by her husband Jessie C. Day "JC"; daughter, Lisa Morris; sons, Gary Morris and John Morris; sisters, Valerie Brazell (Boyd), and Susan Jones; brother, David Toop; step-children, Michelle Gunter, Trena Fulmer (Keith), Butch Day (Allyn), and Eddie Day (Frances).

Sonia was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church of West Columbia. She worked at Lexington School District Four in the Finance Department, retiring after 33 years. Sonia was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, wife and friend.

A visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home at 4720 Augusta Rd. Lexington, S.C on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A private family burial service will be held at a later date.
