Doreen C Tutko
May 15th, 1964 - November 8th, 2024
Doreen C. Tutko (nee Lorang) of Woolwich Township, New Jersey, formally of Mickleton, NJ, passed away on November 8th, 2024 at the age of 60.
Legacy
Born to the late George and Mae Lorang on May 15, 1964, in Woodbury, NJ. Doreen was raised in West Deptford, NJ, with her beloved brothers Steve and Don Lorang and loving sister Diane (Ed) Smith. She graduated from West Deptford High School and went on to attain her bachelor’s degree from Glassboro State University. She then went on to become an educator of the next generation at Bankbridge Regional Elementary for 29 years, during which she had a deep connection with helping the youth.
She was the loving wife to Richard Tutko, with whom she spent 28 years. Doreen was the devoted mother of her three sons Shawn (Amy), Trent, and Dylan of which she was always very proud of their accomplishments, resilience, and loving personalities. Of all the things she enjoyed in life, seeing her sons happy was at the top of that list. Doreen was also the caring grandmother to her granddaughter, Hannah, of whom she brought her youthful energy every time she would see her smile and hear her laugh.
Doreen loved being outdoors in the sun. It brought her joy and energy to attack life like nothing else. From spending her time at the Greenfields swim club in her youth and later with her children to doing triathlons with the Mullica Hill Tri Club, she truly had a passion for athleticism. A bike ride, swim, or long run could help solve any problem she was facing, and eating her favorite fruit on the back porch always brightened her day and brought a smile. The outdoors always made her feel good, and being active made her feel alive in the moment.
