Dora Berlanga Martinez
February 17th, 1941 - September 9th, 2024
Our beloved beautiful mother Dora Berlanga Martinez has gone to be with our LORD on September 9, 2024, at Penrose Hospital, Colorado Springs, CO. She was 83, born in Bryant, TX, on 17 February 1941. She was married to Juan Martinez, who also is with our LORD, along with her son Geraldo Martinez. Juan and Dora met in Flint, MI, and were married for 55 years. Dora is survived by Maria Martinez (Woods), (Dick), Co. Colorado Springs, Co., David Martinez, Aurora Co., Deonicia Wagner, (Charles) Centennial, Angelo Martinez (Brenda), and 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Dora's interests were many - one of her many accomplishments was that she graduated from High school, which she displayed her HS diploma proudly. She volunteered for the Texas school system whenever they needed help when she was called upon. Also, she spent many hours with a church group of ladies quilting blankets for their end-of-year Christmas Bazaar.
One of her hobbies she loved was bowling and was in a lady league at one time or another.
No one made better homemade Tortillas with unconditional love for family and friends. She tirelessly made a loving home, with many memorable family’s vacations.
Funeral service was held Monday, November 4th, 11:00, a.m. at the Holy Apostles Church, Colorado Springs, CO 80917.
